What is the Energy Efficiency giveaway?
Tipmont REMC offers several energy efficiency programs aimed at helping members save energy. The Energy Efficiency Giveaway is aimed at helping Tipmont members understand their Tipmont membership and control their energy costs.
How do I enter?
Simply watch a 3 minute video at www.tipmont.org. At the end of the video, there will be a link to the entry form for you to fill out and enter the giveaway.
What information do I need to enter?
All you need is your name, contact information and Tipmont REMC account number.
How do I find my Tipmont REMC account number?
You can find your account number at the top of your bill, or by logging into SmartHub. In SmartHub, your account number is located on the main screen under "Account."
What are the prizes?
The grand prize winner will receive an in-home energy assessment and up to $1,000 toward recommended energy efficiency improvements for their home. These improvements may include: A new water heater, a smart thermostat, smart power strips, LED lighting, air sealing and insulation. Two first place winners will receive a NEST smart thermostat valued at $250. Five second place winners will receive an in-home energy efficiency kit valued at estimated $100 each.
Why is Tipmont conducting this energy efficiency giveaway?
Tipmont REMC is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative. Because we are a not-for-profit organization, Tipmont’s goal is to sell you the least amount of energy that you actually need. The Energy Efficiency Giveaway aims to help you learn about all the benefits of your Tipmont membership — and start saving on your energy bill.
Who is eligible to enter?
The giveaway is open to all Tipmont residential members in good standing. Businesses are not eligible to win. Employees of Tipmont REMC, affiliates, related entities and subsidiaries, promotional sponsors, prize providers, advertising agencies, and the immediate family members and household members of all such employees are not eligible to participate.
How will winners be notified?
The winner will be contacted directly, by phone.
How will winners be announced?
The winners names will be published in the Electric Consumer magazine and in this section on tipmont.org.
How often will winners be drawn?
We plan to draw winners quarterly. Please read the official contest rules for more information.
How often can I enter?
Tipmont members need only enter once. Multiple entries will be discarded.
Can I enter my relative?
Yes, if you have their permission, their account number, and they meet the eligibility criteria, including being a Tipmont REMC member in good standing.
What if I don't have internet access?
If a Tipmont REMC member does not have Internet access, the member may enter by filling out an entry form at the Tipmont office. Another option would be to use your local library or other shared computer with Internet access. Just make sure you have your Tipmont account number!
