with state-of-the-art essential services

Be prepared for winter storms

We’re accustomed to the damage that spring and summer storms can wreak; don’t forget, though, that the ice and wind of winter can be just as dangerous and just as harmful. In the event of an outage, we’re prepared to restore power as quickly as it’s safe to do so.

Our directors make a difference

As an electric cooperative, Tipmont is guided by a board of directors elected by our membership to represent their best interests when making important decisions. Being a member of this board is an incredibly important position in our community. The board’s decisions impact issues such as service rates, rights of way and work plans. This position holds significant responsibility and requires individuals who understand their community’s needs and serve the cooperative members’ best interest.

Bundling up for winter storms

Are you ready for winter’s cold grasp? Snow and ice are inevitable, but being prepared can make a world of difference. Tipmont REMC provides the following tips to help you prepare for wintery blasts.

SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent phone calls

Tipmont will NEVER call and ask for sensitive personal information over the phone.

SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent phone calls

A Tipmont REMC member recently received a phone call from a scammer posed as a utility employee. Please be wary of callers asking for your credit card or other financial account information and personally identifiable information. In this specific case, the perpetrator will threaten to disconnect your service unless you buy a pre-paid debit card or use an online payment service to pay your bill at once.
